Birth Classes

The whole family is welcome to prepare for the newborn by attending this class during the last couple months of pregnancy. Gift bags and refreshments are provided. Classes are held on a Saturday each month from 10 a.m. - Noon in the hospital auditorium.

Cost to be paid at the beginning of the first class.

Class for sibling prep is $5/child ($10 family).

You and your partner will feel more prepared for the birth of your baby by taking this informative class. The labor process, hospital procedures, postpartum and baby information is given. Breathing and relaxation techniques are practiced. A tour of the Family Care Center and instructional videos will enhance your learning experience. A student manual, handouts, gift packs and refreshments are provided.

Cost $25 for those delivering at Beloit Hospital and $50 for those delivering elsewhere.

Register as soon as possible and plan to attend the class sometime during the last three months of the pregnancy.

A Spanish birthing class is also available Thursdays from 6:30-8:30pm on the following dates: March 1, June 7, September 6, and December 6.

Class sessions are four weeks in length.

Prepare the way for a successful breastfeeding experience by attending this class before you have your baby, or attend after the birth with your baby. Breastfeeding techniques and support are offered in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Each class is 2.5 hours in length. Successful breastfeeding couples are invited back to share their experiences and nurture supportive friendships. Handouts and refreshments are provided. Classes are held from 6-8:30 p.m. in the hospital auditorium.

This class is free of charge to all.
