Expertise for Hearts in the new Heart and Vascular Center
We know that when it comes to caring for your heart, you're looking for one thing—quality. Our expert cardiology team has the comprehensive services, technology, and experience to care for your heart in Beloit Health System's Heart and Vascular Center.
"Our cardiovascular program began over 30 years ago," emphasizes Dr. Leo Egbujiobi, Cardiologist with Beloit Health System. "However, at this time, we have consolidated all of our services on the fourth floor of the hospital to create a comprehensive Heart and Vascular Center."
What makes the Heart and Vascular Center the right choice? High patient satisfaction, lower than the national average in complication rates, expertise, and convenience. "My wife just had triple bypass at Beloit and I would recommend Dr. Marks and Dr. Leo to anyone. They were fantastic and I think I've told at least 750 people," comments Clarence Drinkwater from Beloit.
Whether you need diagnostic, prevention, surgical or rehabilitation services, Beloit Health System has the experience and technology right here in the stateline. Our experts deliver success rates higher than the national average and major insurance providers consistently award Beloit's programs 100% quality ratings.

Impressive Team of Experts
"We have created an impressive team of cardiovascular physicians and clinical staff," explains Tim McKevett, Senior Vice President of Beloit Health System. "From Dr. Egbujiobi, who has been the inspiration to expand our cardiovascular program, to Dr. Peter Marks who has performed over 5,000 open heart surgeries, we know we have some of the best experts in the field."
"Beloit Health System has been implanting pacemakers since 1980 and performing diagnostic angiograms since 1987," McKevett adds. "We completed our first heart angioplasty in 2002 and open heart surgery in 2007. We have now completed over 125 successful open heart surgeries— a success record we are very proud to announce." In addition, the cardiologists at Beloit Health System have completed over 1,000 coronary angioplasties with stents and over 500 peripheral angioplasties with stents in leg, arm, kidney or bowel arteries.
Dr. Egbujiobi recently moved his outpatient clinic to the fourth floor of the hospital, as well. Additional outpatient clinics are available at Beloit Health System Clinic and NorthPointe Clinic.
