New Session for Children of Divorce- January 22

Divorce affects more than just a husband and wife. As we all know, this is a time when children of divorced parents need special attention. Beloit Health System offers a nationally recognized program to help your child understand this lifechange. The Sandcastles Program focuses on giving children the coping mechanisms and skills needed to get through this process with a healthy outcome.

The hospital is offering a new session of Sandcastles on Saturday, January 22 from 9 a.m.-12 noon, with registration starting at 8:30 a.m. This three-hour group session is for ages 6-12 with a fee of $25 per child. The class creates a comfortable environment for the children who are encouraged through a guided discussion and interactive activities. They learn to express their feelings, share thoughts, and process the changes ahead of them. One or both parents are asked to participate in the last half-hour of the class for group learning.
