Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department

Physical Medicine and Rehab includes the areas of physiatry (physician of physical medicine), physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, audiology, sports medicine, industrial rehab and work hardening, and comprehensive inpatient rehab. Specialty services include: pain management, incontinence treatment, industrial audiology/hearing conservation, dysphagia services, wound care, lymphedema management, hand therapy, massage therapy, and medical massage. Physical Medicine also offers special health services and classes: Tai Chi, Qigong, Yoga, Infant Massage and pediatric treatment. Support groups for people with lymphedema and for people who have had debilitating events such as strokes, arthritis, etc. are run by staff in the department.
