Pulmonary Care
The Pulmonary Care Department provides therapeutic, diagnostic and life support technologies for those patients with acute and chronic diseases of the lung. Working under the direction of a physician, therapeutic treatments can be administered to treat pneumonia, asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, etc. Diagnostics such as pulmonary function studies help physicians to make informed decisions regarding treatment. Tests also provide valuable information for providing patients with chronic diseases many different ways to improve aspects of daily living. Life Support or Mechanical Ventilation assist in providing patients with the necessary breathing support while they are recovering from acute illness or trauma.
