Make sure to incorporate warm-up and cool-down periods.  Take rest breaks as needed between sets.  Please check with your healthcare provider to make sure you are healthy enough for exercise.  If you have questions or need modifications to the work-out, stop by the Darien Clinic and speak with NP Betsy Press.

25-Minute Total Body Work-Out!

Repeat Set Three times

            1.         Jump Squats – 40 seconds

                        *rest 20 seconds

            2.         Walking Lunges – 40 seconds

                        *rest 20 seconds

            3.         Hold a high plank – 40 seconds

                        *rest 20 seconds

            4.         Push-ups – 40 seconds

                        *rest 20 seconds

            5.         High Knees – 40 seconds

                        *rest 20 seconds

            6.         Glute Bridges with a dumbbell – 40 seconds

                        *rest 20 seconds

            7.         Hold a Low Plank – 40 seconds

                        *rest 20 seconds

Wednesday Yum

Chicken Sausage and Broccoli

Only one pan to wash!

You will need:

            5-6 chicken sausages, cut into slices

            2-3 cups of broccoli florets

            ¼ lemon

            1-2 teaspoons of lemon pepper           

1.         Place sausage and broccoli into 9x13 pan

2.         Mix together

3.         Season with lemon juice and lemon pepper

4.         Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees

Serve with a fresh vegetable salad for a filling and healthy meal.
