Make sure to incorporate warm-up and cool-down periods.  Take rest breaks as needed between sets.  Please check with your healthcare provider to make sure you are healthy enough for exercise.  If you have questions or need modifications to the work-out, stop by the Darien Clinic and speak with NP Betsy Press.

 

Cardio Day! Cardio to burn off that Halloween candy and get ready for Christmas decorating!

            30 seconds of each:

                        1. Plank

                        2. Left side plank

                        3. Right side plank

                        4. Skip in place

            1 Minute of each – Do circuit twice

                        1. Jumping jacks         

                        2. Thrusters

                        3. High Knees

                        4. Jog in Place

 

            45 Seconds of each – Do circuit twice

 

                        1. Plank Jacks

                        2. High Knees

                        3. Burpees

                        4. Push-ups

            30 Seconds of each – Do circuit twice

                        1. Star Jumping Jacks

                        2. Squats

                        3. Burpees

                        4. Alternating Lunges

            1 minutes of each – Do circuit twice

                        1. Jumping Jacks

                        2. Butt Kicks

                        3. High Knees

                        4. Mountain Climbers

Breakfast in your crock pot?!

This oatmeal can cook overnight in your crock pot for a delicious breakfast

You will need:

            5.5 cups of almond milk

            1.5 cups of steel cut oats

            1/3 cup of maple syrup – may use sugar-free syrup

            2 tsps of cinnamon

            1 tsp of vanilla extract

            ¼ tsp of sea salt

                 

1.         Spray your crock pot with nonstick cooking spray

2.         Combine all ingredients in crock pot

3.         Cook for four hours on high or 8 hours on low, stir before serving.
