Beloit Health System is looking for another Financial Counselor to join
our Revenue Cycle Team!
Job Duties:
Financial Counselors are responsible for performing various financial clearance
functions, including with not limited to preparing estimates, follow up
on outstanding accounts through mail and inbound/outbound telephone work
while maintaining strong relations with patients and guarantors.
This position works closely with outpatient and inpatient scheduling areas
to ensure all patients are financially cleared and screened for financial
risk before receiving services.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required as well as an Associate’s
Degree in Accounting with two years medical office/facility billing and
computer experience; or a combination of the two that can provide equivalent
knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Minimum 5 years hospital and professional with third party and self-pay
billing experience; and Minimum of 5 years customer service experience
in a hospital or professional office setting; and minimum of 2 years hospital
and/or professional registration experience. (Concurrent experience is
acceptable)
Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CBCS) or equivalent certificate
is required within one year or at the placement of position.
Preferred:
Knowledge of basic patient accounting processes and healthcare terminology
strongly preferred.
