Immediate Opening: Director - Health Information Management & Coding

This position will:

• Be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the HIM and coding departments for the Hospital and Clinics
• Maintain appropriate turnaround times for the transcription of medical records
• Monitor medical records for completeness in regards to the Joint Commission regulations
• Act as the Privacy Officer for the Health System

Required:

• Bachelor's degree
• Degree in Medical Coding

Preferred:

• Previous coding experience
• Leadership experience
• Experience with Cerner and Optum computer assisted coding
• Experience with clinical documentation improvement programs
