This position will:
Responsible for providing accurate diagnostic and procedural codes (ICD-10-CM,
CPT-4 and HCPCS) of outpatient and office visit encounters for billing
purposes, as well as for collection and retrieval of statistical data
Responsible for accurately abstracting information from the patient’s
medical records
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
If not certified, certification must be obtained within one year of hire
Preferred:
Coding education courses
CPC, CCA, CCS or other equivalent coding certification
If not certified, certification must be obtained within one year of hire
1 year of previous coding, specifically in E/M and Risk Adjusted Coding
