About Jennifer

Dr. Bleak is a general adult psychiatrist, who also works with patients with substance use disorder. She completed her residency in Psychiatry at the University of Chicago and has practiced in Chicago, Tokyo, and various locations in Wisconsin. She favors an approach that takes into account the patient’s social circumstances, physical health, and psychological condition, with an emphasis on the mind/body connection. Rather than treating individual symptoms separately, she works to formulate accurate diagnoses and prescribe medications that have been shown to be effective for those diagnoses, carefully weighing the risks/ benefits of treatments. Additionally, she attempts to give patients thorough and accurate information regarding her recommendations.
