The dialysis RN is responsible for managing the care of patients during hemodialysis and is responsible for the direct supervision of dialysis technicians and LPNs performing the dialysis treatment. The RN is required to have excellent communication skills and assessment skills. The RN is responsible for managing a group of primary patients, which includes developing short and long term plan of care, coordination of patient care needs, and documentation. Applicant must enjoy working in a chronic unit, is a strong team player and wants to be involved with department operations. Graduate of accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred (new hires must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire date) Current WI RN license required. Must be CPR certified and have two years of medical surgical experience. Dialysis experience preferred but will train if needed.
