Professional golfer Rocco Mediate will be the featured guest pro at the 32nd annual Beloit Health System Foundation Pro-Am golf event at the Beloit Club. The event is scheduled for Monday, July 31.
Mediate, who turned pro in 1985, is a six-time winner on the PGA tour. Now a member of the PGA Tour Champions Tour, Mediate has won three championships including the 2016 Senior PGA Championship. He has been featured in the top 20 of the Official World Golf Rankings and is widely considered one of the best putters in golf.
“We are very excited to welcome Mr. Mediate as part of the Pro-Am,” says Lara Hermann, Executive Director, Beloit Health System Foundation. “He has accomplished so much in the sport – he’s going to have great advice and great stories to share.”
The annual Pro-Am invites 96 amateur golfers and 24 state pro golfers. Each team includes four amateurs and one pro golfer. The featured guest pro is stationed at the 10th hole to play that hole with each fivesome.
In addition to the golf, each year the Pro-Am welcomes about 200 guests to dinner and silent auction. Guests can bid on items such as travel packages, artwork and more.
Proceeds from this year’s event benefit the Hendricks Family Heart Hospital, an advanced cardiac center of excellence being constructed inside Beloit Hospital.
If you are interested in attending the Pro-Am dinner or checking to see if there is an opening on a fivesome, call Hermann at 608-363-5724.
