BHS Receives Grant to Educate and Train Local Teens

The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) has provided a $450,000 grant to Beloit Health System who partnered with Hendricks CareerTek and Blackhawk Technical College to educate and train over 2000 middle and high school students interested in health sciences and nurse training.

It is an honor to be selected as the recipient of this tremendous grant opportunity. We value our partners in our community and recognize how this grant will benefit all.”

Programs Include Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Personal Care Worker certification, and CPR/ AED Classes. Opportunities are also available for students to learn more through field trips to healthcare institutions, career panels, participation in the Teen Medical Program, and Healthcare Academies.
