BELOIT, IL. — New kiosks offer added patient convenience and provide quicker, more efficient ways of checking in. These high technical, stand-alone devices feature information and applications that help ease patient experiences with the touch of a finger.
At the Beloit Clinic, these kiosks allow for patients to check in on the first floor and proceed directly to the waiting room, eliminating potential lines and paperwork. Additionally, the kiosks provide more patient privacy, a much better way of entering insurance information, as well as accepting online payment options. The kiosks also accept co-payments, streamlining registration even more.
“From a patient perspective, they provide a more private, quicker registration experience while allowing staff to spend more time with patients who need assistance,” commented Steve Taylor, Director of Physician Clinics and Patient Access.
Another plus, the opportunity to “pre-check” from the comfort of home. Patients can update information, make any changes, and check in before arrival, making the process quicker than ever before. Currently, the average check-in time at the kiosk is two and a half minutes. The average age of the user is 47 years old. We welcome the new technology and advantages associated with our new machines.
