James Bird, MBA, CPA, Appointed as VP and Chief Financial Officer

Beloit Health System is pleased to announce they have hired James Bird, MBA, CPA, as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the Health System. Bird will begin his role January 31, 2022.
James Bird will provide Administrative coverage and support for the Beloit Health System departments of Finance and Accounting; Materials Management and Central Services; Health Information Management and Coding; Revenue Cycle; Information Systems; and Decision Support.
“We are excited about Jim joining our Team. His experience and level of expertise will be a nice addition to the Health System,” said Beloit Health System President and CEO Timothy M. McKevett, after sharing the announcement with Health System staff and board members.
Bird received his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Accounting and his master’s in business administration (MBA) with a concentration in finance and management from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. Bird is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He has over 25 years of experience and joins Beloit Health System after serving as Chief Financial Officer for Watertown Regional Medical Center/LifePoint Health. Jim is a member of the American/Wisconsin Institute for Certified Public Accountants and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Bird grew up in Beloit and considers it his “hometown.” Jim and his wife Tammy will be relocating back “home” to Beloit this Summer after his youngest child graduates from High School. Jim enjoys getting involved in his community and has served as a youth football and baseball coach.
