Cardiac Care at its Best

Beloit Health System is acknowledging excellence in cardiac nursing for the seventh consecutive year. Ann Sitrick, with Beloit Memorial Hospital Foundation, announced Kari Ptacin, RN, in Cardiac Rehabilitation as the recent recipient of the Egbujiobi Family Award for Excellence. This award was established by Beloit Health System Cardiologist Dr. Leo Egbujiobi and his wife, Bridget.

The award recognizes members of the Cardiology staff who have shown superior service and leadership in caring for cardiac patients. Cardiology staff are nominated by their peers for this honor. Additional nominees for this year’s award include: Tammy Becker, Denise Moe, Mary Tomaszewski and Brenda Williams.

Kari is described by her nominators as “a positive role model of what a Cardiovascular nurse should be” with her energetic and organized work ethic. Kari was instrumental in developing the cardiac stress program at NorthPointe and encourages her patients to live a healthier lifestyle.
