Community Event at Beloit Hospital for Heart Month

The community is invited to a special event at Beloit Health System on Tuesday, February 16 at 7 p.m. in honor of Heart Month. The free event will launch the new “Take it to Heart Club” and will offer a host of “heart healthy” education. Dr. Maria Taveras, Cardiologist with Beloit Health System will present on “Is Your Heart at Risk?”

In addition, Brad Ervin, Vice President of Beloit Health System will talk about the exciting new Hendricks Family Heart Hospital and how it will benefit our community. The Take it to Heart Program will offer many heart healthy presentations throughout the year. There will also be free blood pressure screenings and heart healthy refreshments.

Since February is Heart Month, learn what puts you at risk for congestive heart failure and other cardiovascular diseases. Your heart health is important to Beloit Health System. There will be continuing meetings the third Tuesday of select months. 

In celebration of their new Hendricks Family Heart Hospital, Beloit Health System will give out three Fitbit® Charge Activity Trackers at the launch on February 16. The trackers assist you in reaching your activity and sleep goals, thus giving your heart the attention it needs to keep you healthy.
