Diabetes Education Offered at Beloit Health System

If you are a diabetic or pre-diabetic, are you as healthy as you can be? Beloit Health System is offering two different educational opportunities for you to learn more about preventing and managing diabetes.

Pre-Diabetes- On Wednesday, September 23 from 1-3 p.m. there is a free Pre-Diabetes Basics Class offered to help you understand how to prevent or delay the onset of diabetes with medication, diet and exercise.

For those with Diabetes- They will offer their Diabetes Self-Management Program to help those with diabetes understand and incorporate lifestyle changes. The program will be offered on Tuesday September 22 and Thursday, September 24 from 12 noon - 4:30 p.m at Beloit Hospital. The class will include the hospital’s certified diabetes educators offering education to help diabetics and their families better manage the disease. This diabetes patient education program has been awarded recognition by the Diabetes Association and will show you the latest in diabetes care. Class size is limited and you are asked to register early. A lunch will be provided.
