Beloit Health System’s Heart and Vascular Center is acknowledging excellence in cardiac services for the eleventh consecutive year. This year the Egbujiobi Family Award for Cardiac Excellence was awarded to two winners: Andrea Richter, RN in Intermediate Care and Wendi Knodle, RN Heart and Vascular Services and NorthPointe Clinic.
This award was established by Beloit Health System Cardiologist Dr. Leo Egbujiobi and his wife, Bridget, and is awarded through the Beloit Health System Foundation.
The award recognizes members of the Cardiology staff who show superior service and leadership in caring for cardiac patients. Heart and Vascular Center staff members are nominated by their peers for this honor. Also recognized for their outstanding contribution to the Heart and Vascular Center were Staci Haney, Cath Lab; Haley Johnson, EKG; and Kristi Lambright, NorthPointe Wellness
“We have achieved our goal of developing a recognized and viable Heart and Vascular Center thanks to the dedication of each of you,” explains Dr. Egbujiobi. “We have a very talented and dedicated cardiac staff who make all the difference for our patients and this award helps recognize this.”
This year’s presentation took place at the Thirteenth Annual Symposium for Critical Care and Cardiology sponsored by the Rock County Medical Society and Beloit Health System’s Heart and Vascular Center. The event included a two day workshop and attracted more than 50 heart care specialists to the Beloit area.
