Beloit Health System would like to make getting a seasonal flu shot as easy as possible. To accommodate those who may have physical limitations, or are just in a hurry, they are offering "Flu Shots to Go". Yes, drive-thru flu shots make life even easier. On Thursday, September 22 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Occupational Health, Sports and Family Medicine Center at 1650 Lee Lane in Beloit will offer shots-on-the-go for adults.
"This is the sixth year we are offering the drive-thru flu shots," states Cindy Groves, Clinical Manager of Beloit Health System’s Occupational Health Center. "We have a facility that can accommodate this service and are very grateful for the convenience. It also emphasizes that flu shots are important and even those who don’t think they have time to get one, can no longer use that as an excuse."
The drive-thru flu shot clinic requires no appointment and will be on Sept. 22 only. Shots are $25, (includes the H1N1 vaccine) and payable by Medicare if you bring your card. For more information, please call 608-364-4666.
The Janesville Clinic off Milton Ave. will have the drive-thru shots on Friday, September 30. For those of you who would prefer an office visit rather than the drive-thru option, the West Side Clinic, Beloit, Clinton and Darien Clinics are all offering flu vaccines starting soon on a walk-in basis. Call 608-364-2200 to ask about dates and times.
