Infectious Diseases Physician Welcomed to Beloit

 Vijaya Somaraju, MD, is an infectious diseases specialist and a new addition to the medical staff at Beloit Health System. She has experience in a wide range of infectious diseases including Hepatitis C, osteomyelitis, Lyme disease, tuberculosis, wound care, diabetic foot infections, and other general infections including those in immune compromised persons. In addition, she has special interests in community medicine, travel and tropical medicine.

Dr. Somaraju trained at Seton Hall University affiliated hospitals in New Jersey. She is board certified in infectious diseases and internal medicine. Prior to moving to Beloit, she practiced as an academic infectious disease physician for 15 years at University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. Dr. Somaraju will be seeing patients at Beloit Hospital with appointments made by calling 608-364-1248.
