February is heart month and NorthPointe Health and Wellness is offering a free “Heart-to-Heart Talk” to help you understand more about preventing heart disease. This educational seminar will be held on Tuesday, February 24 from 6:30- 7:30 p.m. in the community room at NorthPointe in Roscoe.
Dr. Phoebe Ezidinma, Cardiologist, will give you insight as to the symptoms and latest treatment for heart failure. As you heart’s pumping becomes less effective, blood may back up in other areas of the body. This is called congestive heart failure and can be caused by weakening of the heart muscle or high blood pressure. Other diseases can also contribute to heart failure. Symptoms often begin slowly.
