Beloit Health System’s Volunteers in Partnership (VIP) recently announced the winners of six $1,500 scholarships awarded to high school graduates who are entering the field of medicine.
The following are the scholarship winners from left, their high school, intended college or university, and career goal:
Megan Zandler, is planning to attend UW- Eau Claire, majoring in Kinesiology.Whitney Woodworth, Parker High School, is planning to attend Edgewood College- Madison, majoring in Nursing-Child Life.Chalae Tucker, from Beloit Memorial High School, is planning to attend UW-Wisconsin- Parkside majoring in Nursing.Alexa Sughroue, from Hononegah High School, is planning to attend Butler University majoring in Biological Science and SpanishAndrew Rife, from Hononegah High School, is planning to attend University of Illinois- Champagne-Urbana majoring in Bio ChemistryDaniel Marchillo, from Clinton High School, is planning to attend Carroll College or UW LaCrosse majoring in Pre-Med.
Increased gratuities in the volunteer-staffed snack shop supported the scholarship funds. This is the 15th year the scholarships have been awarded. Beloit Health System’s volunteers include over 420 volunteers, who work in 20 different areas of the hospital, clinic and its outreach centers.
