BELOIT, August 5, 2015 - Beloit Health System and Beloit Regional Hospice (BRH) today announced a new partnership that will further advance compassionate, high-quality care for those with life-limiting illness in Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.
Effective January 1, 2016 Beloit Regional Hospice will become part of Beloit Health System. The partnership solidifies a long-standing relationship between the two organizations who have worked together for many years to provide a continuum of care for the community.
“We’re very excited about the opportunities this partnership will provide. Beloit Regional Hospice and Beloit Health Systems are equally committed to providing quality care to our patients, partners, and employees. Coming together will allow us to show our continued dedication to quality care and continued loyalty to our state line community,” says Natasha Weberg, Executive Director, Beloit Regional Hospice.
Beloit Regional Hospice will maintain its name, operational staff, fundraising events, and many dedicated volunteers. A current BRH board member will join the Beloit Health System Foundation Board and oversee the endowment fund that will remain designated and restricted for hospice use.
“Beloit Regional Hospice provides an invaluable service to our community. Working together we can sustain and preserve this service and offer coordinated, comprehensive end-of-life care for our patients and their families who deserve the best care available,” says Timothy McKevett, President and CEO, Beloit Health System.
Hospice services are available to any person whose illness has advanced to a point where he or she is no longer seeking life-prolonging care, but rather is seeking comfort and quality of life. Each day, BRH cares for an average of 60 hospice patients and 50 Transitions clients.
