Beloit Health System is offering walk-in mammograms on two Saturdays in October: October 12 and 26 from 8 a.m.- 12 noon. During breast cancer awareness month, screening mammograms are even more important. No need to remember to schedule an appointment, just walk in.
These will be screening mammograms for women 40 and older in Beloit Health System’s Medical Imaging Department at the hospital. A physician’s referral is not needed for a screening mammogram which usually takes about 20 minutes. The American Cancer Society recommends that every woman should have an annual screening mammogram after the age of 40. Medicare and most insurance accepted. For more information, please call 608-364-5267.
