The Stateline Community Foundation has made a bold and exciting leadership gift to Beloit Health System's new Hendricks Family Heart Hospital. Announced at Beloit Health System's Pro-Am Golf Event, the foundation issued a $100,000 challenge to the community.
"We believe the Heart Hospital is essential to premier healthcare here in our community," stated Tara Tinder, Stateline's Executive Director. She went on to note the foundation's board of directors felt it very important to not only support the Heart Hospital, but to encourage others to join in.
The Stateline Challenge is a $100,000 matching gift. Each dollar given by a donor will be matched by the Stateline Community Foundation up to the their pledge of $100,000. When finished, this will mean $200,000 of support for the new Heart Hospital.
"Stateline Community Foundation has always been supportive of the Health System," noted Tim McKevett, Beloit Health System President & CEO. "We were honored and humbled with their leadership challenge gift. We know this will encourage other donors to join us in this important project."
The Hendricks Family Heart Hospital at a cost of $13.8 million is currently under construction at Beloit Hospital. It will provide the best in cardiac services in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. It is scheduled to open in 2017.
The Stateline Challenge Gift will be available to any donors effective immediately.
