“Take it to Heart” Club Offers Opportunities for Learning

Tuesday, May 03, 2016

Beloit Health System is offering a new way to take care of your heart in 2016. The “Take it to Heart” Club is set up to inspire hope and improve the quality of life for heart patients and their families. The May meeting and speaker are set for Tuesday, May 17th at  7 p.m. in the Beloit Hospital auditorium with the topic of “Power Over Your Symptoms”.

Tammy Boxleitner, APNP, Nurse Practitioner, will speak on the symptoms of cardiac disease and how to deal with them. The presentation will give you more knowledge and the power to manage your symptoms in your daily living.

There is no cost to attend one of the group meetings and it is open for any heart patient, family member, friend, caretaker or community member. The ongoing group provides education, information, encouragement and the opportunity to meet others who are experiencing similar situations living with heart disease.

The meetings will continue with a group session and opportunities for questions or sharing of ideas.  The meetings will not be scheduled over the summer and will resume in September.
