Traditional Lovelight Ceremony on December 1

Thursday, November 20, 2014

Beloit Health System invites you to participate in the 31st annual Lovelight ceremony on Monday, December 1, at 6 p.m. on the grounds of the hospital. Lovelight is an annual tradition for many families who dedicate a light on one of the large evergreens on the front lawn of the hospital. The donation of a red or green light is in honor of a loved one, a white light is dedicated in memory of someone special.

The Beloit Health System volunteers ask that a minimum donation of $5 be given for each light. The proceeds will go towards the VIP’s (Volunteers in Partnership) pledge to support the new Cancer Care Center and high school scholarships.

Everyone is invited to the ceremony on December 1 where the landscaped trees on the hospital grounds are lit with a beautiful, short ceremony. It’s a holiday tradition enjoyed by many families. After the lighting, guests are invited into the lobby for holiday carols and refreshments.  Forms to sponsor a light on the Lovelight trees are available in the lobby of the hospital or in community papers. For more information, please call 608-364-5162.
