Eligibility Criteria

1. Disease with metastases at presentation

Or

2. Progression from an earlier stage of disease to metastatic disease with either:
   1. A continued decline in spite of therapy or
   2. Patient declines further disease directed therapy
3. PPS < 70%
4. Needs assistance in 2 or more ADLs

NOTE: Certain cancers with poor prognosis such as small cell lung cancer, brain cancer and pancreatic cancer may be eligible without fulfilling criteria related to PPS and ADL functioning.
