Eligibility Criteria

1. KPS or PPS < 40%

and

2. Wt loss > 10% in the last 6 months,

Or

3. > 7.5% in the last 3 months

Or

4. Serum albumin < 2.5 g/dL

Or

5. Current history of aspiration not responsive to speech therapy, calorie counts documenting inadequate caloric/fluid intake

Or

6. Dysphagia severe enough to prevent patient from continuing fluids/foods necessary to sustain life and does not receive artificial nutrition and hydration. Diagnostic imaging can support poor prognosis.
