The Ostomy Support Group provides a local source of information. Their purpose is to encourage and maintain an exchange of ideas and methods for promotion of rehabilitation. Please call 608.363.5705 for more information.
The group focuses on identifying and addressing issues, challenges, and difficulties with effectively managing this phase of life, realizing that this phase is just as important as any other phase of life. The group typically meets the second Friday of the month in the Petersen Room located in the Counseling Care Center on the 2nd floor of the hospital. Group provides support around your experience, relationships, transitioning, transphobia, safety, sexuality, coming out, etc. Group meets every third Tuesday from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at the hospital's Carter Room.
